About the business:
Treasures Re-Found was established in 2008 by owner and proprietor Dudley Bostic. The store features unique sections carefully curated by ten vendors to provide customers with a unique shopping experience. Store inventory items range from vintage and antique furniture, games, and fashions to housewares and project supplies. Treasures Re-Found provides repair services for vintage items, specializing in clocks, as well as liquidation and clean-out services.
About the project:
The shop has always had a physical location in Chestertown, Maryland, but wanted to increase sales and foot traffic with an online presence. Over a one month period, Kris Kelley visited the shop several times to create high quality images of inventory items and interview each of the vendors. She then used Squarespace to create an affordable and easy to manage website for the shop, a process which included coordinating the purchase of the site domain. By using a website design tool that already has a built in content management system, Kris Kelley was able to design a site that the shop owner and vendors can update without disturbing the overall structure and design of the site. The completed site is responsive, mobile friendly and features 6 main pages providing shop information, location, and a preview of inventory. She also created a Facebook page for the store to promote sales and inventory. Kris Kelley travels to the shop in Chestertown bi-monthly to update inventory images.
